I created this blog to get new users a place for information on how to use Dedicated traveler. Now hopefully It isn’t so complicated otherwise I should rethink my priorities and make this site more user friendly and navigational. With that being said I hope your not too shy to tell me under the Dedicated Traveler Forum which can always be accessed on the top right section, where it says Visit and at the bottom of the list it well say Forums. This is the best place to ask anything you would like or put in your two cents. There are no dumb questions just dumb answers. I really think that, don’t be shy I well not scrutinize you on what you said just answer to my best abilities. If you would like a new blog then you should visit Sign up page and fill in the appropriate forms. I have been told that the email activation tends to take a couple of hours. so I apologize for the inconsistencies there and am working on why hey are taking so long. Thanks for you input and am loving to learn more about the users on Dedicated Traveler.

I have been procrastinating a lot lately probably because school is now fully settled in and getting comfortable. But by the by I get down on myself for not making this tutorial yet. So here it is The user friendly easy peezy lemon squeezie Tutorial on navigating around in your blogs Dashboard (Given you made a blog not a username).
Now so your not to confused about everything. there are 3 sections of DedicatedTraveler right now they are all styled different, The first Is the dashboard (Shown Below), which is where you control your Blog’s posts comments, plugins, themes, your Everything to with blogs zone! The second area is where you can connect to the users of Dedicated Traveler and become friends create groups, keep up to date with you friends and also see there newest posts as well under the users activity.This section is automatically made after sign up and can be accessed using the top navigation bar under My Account. The third and final section is the Forums, I made this section to start more conversations and discussions about virtually anything you want. As well As support topics and getting help from others when your stuck and no knowing what to do. I guess in a way there is alot of ways to do the same thing. However it is interactive and dynamic! Hope this second tutorial helps

Step #1 – Change your password!
Your password is created upon sign up by dedicated traveler and is a randomly generated password. Go to the Users tab >> Profile and it is at the bottom of the page. You do obtain a copy of it in your email address you signed up with so in case you don’t get a chance to change it right way then you can always check it out there. Also if you have Lost your Password then click here
Step #2 – Add an Identity to your name. (optional)
If you would like to upload an avatar (a small sized picture representing you usually 100 x 100) then you can do so using Gravatar.com it is a free site that lets you upload a picture for a global avatar. Meaning whenever you use the email address you provided to gravatar.com then your picture you uploaded well be displayed instead of the default image that person has. I figured this was the best way and easiest. Just use the same email address that you used to sign up here.
Step #3 Enjoy your new website and all its features.
Dedicated Traveler can house many many blogs and domain names all hosted for free courtesy of Me! Okay so now you have an identity online and place to journal or connect, really anything you would like, now you can open up the doors and be vulnerable! Thanks for reading and hope you learned something even if it was some tiny knowledge.
A quick note:
Don’t worry if this still doesn’t explain it enough for you I am going to dive into each tab more and show you what there purposees are next week. If you would like more available plugins or themes then suggest them on are forum under theappropriate forum topic. Please provide the plugin or themes name and I’ll notify you when and if it is possible. ( Some plugins are out of date and would break down this site and make it not run smoothly so the final call is up to us here at Dedicated Traveler but we well defiantly try it out, if it isn’t up to date then I’ll contact the theme or plugin creater and ask for an updated version) Thanks for reading and hopes this helps a little.

Welcome to Dedicated Traveler, most Likely if you have come here your in need of some assistance or you randomly made it here surfing the web. Either way I applaud you for finding this web page out of the millions there are maybe billions I don’t think anyway could know for sure how many there really are, anyway for whatever reason your here I well tell you that this blog is for the sole purpose of teaching new users the ropes and getting them familiar with the layout of Dedicated Traveler. If you didn’t know already Dedicated Traveler is powered by Wordpress MU. Wordpress is both a host of blogs, Wordpress.com with four million hosted blogs in 2008 and also a software to install on its own hosting which can be downloaded from Wordpress.org. (Which is what I am utilizing however with the Wordpress MU addition)
There are other blogging software such as dotclear, Blogger and Livejournal but Wordpress, through its many contributors has a very broad range of plugins and themes that make it nearly universal and provides almost all the features that we could ask for. We can give it also a more general use, building even a platform for e-commerce. In addition it makes low use of resources and is optimized for search engine optimization or SEO.
Now that the introductions are over, today’s tutorial is going to be on Creating a new Account be it just a username or a Blog with your own web site hosted for free.

If you choose “Just a username, please” then you well be done with the signup process and be taken to a page that reconfirms your email address and tells you to check your email for an authentication activation email we sent to you. This is for spamming purposes and I apologize if it takes a while to receive estimated time hasn’t ever been over an hour. You must activate your account before the domain and blog is created otherwise it’ll say Page not found. After authenticating your username then you can have access to the members section of Dedicated Traveler. This is very similar to Facebook and has similar features; Friends, Activity, Groups, Album, Wire ( which is what you use to post quick comments on there profile page.) and am always updating and innovating this section so expect to see new features often. With Just a username you don’t get a blog nor a website address. But you can just as easily. At the top of your Navigation bar mouse over My Blogs–> Create a Blog! that’ll take you to Sign up page 2 but a little different because you’ll already have a username so It should greet , bu thats the only difference.
If you choose “Gimme a Blog!” then you well see this page here: (of course minus the comments in Blue)

Finalizing Steps:
Choose the following options you would like. (Take note of the comments in red to see what can be changed later and what can’t be changed later so you know which options to double check.) Other than that you just need to activate it via your email account ( The link to activate well say page not found under the title at first but only this once and then should redirect you to your home page) This concludes the tutorial on How to Sign up for a new Account. I well be posting a lot more lately because I want to get this finished before I let it loose. If you Have any questions you can post here under the comments. but I recommend using the Forum I well check it more often then this blog and It is more fun! Later I’ll create a forum tutorial on uses and and how to navigate around. I’ll post a link here when I do.

Hey I am currently working on an indepth tutorial on how to use Dedicated Traveler that might answer some of those FAQ’s you might be having like how do I change my description under my blog title? Or maybe as simple as what is the difference between the forum and my blog.
